Dani, a lovely wedding planner, invited me to write a blog about wedding venues in Melbourne three years ago. She asked, "Hi, Nick, could you give me a recommended list of the best wedding venues in Melbourne? I have some clients asking me the same questions, and I wish I had something from an expert to show them."

I'm Nick, a humble wedding photographer based in Melbourne. I knew there were many wedding blogs on this topic, such as Easy Weddings and Wedding Diaries. I didn't want to repeat what others had written. If I can’t write a better blog about wedding venues than predecessor writer, I won’t roll my pen. So, I declined Dani's request.

Three years later, at an engagement party last week, Chloe, a friend I've known since high school, asked me for guidance on wedding venues in Melbourne.

Chloe, with her beautiful eyes and kind heart, asked, "Hi, Nick. Can you write a blog of the top 20 wedding venues in Melbourne? Matt proposed to me last Christmas."

I hesitated and mumbled, "Um... I..."

Chloe suddenly punched my head and said: “Don’t be silly, Nick. Dani told me you used the same reason to refuse her."

"Yes, I did," I confessed.

Chloe said, "Nick, you are the best wedding photographer in Melbourne. You have a lot of experience shooting at various wedding venues. You have firsthand knowledge about their services, the best photo opportunities, capacity, and even the prices."

Chloe's attitude and practical suggestion touched me deeply. I knew I had no excuse to refuse her.

I decided to write a blog about wedding venues in Melbourne.

Dani, if you happen to read this blog one day, forgive me, my lady. I am writing this blog today not because Chloe has more privilege than you, but because I wasn't ready three years ago.

My dear reader, whether you are a bride like Chloe or a wedding practitioner (photographer, florist, planner, etc.), this is my TOP 20 wedding venues in Melbourne list. Drawing from my seven years of experience as a wedding photographer and six months of research, I have created this guide. As professional photographers, our experience at Luminare was disappointing. Despite being hired for a wedding reception, we were treated disrespectfully from the start. While guests enjoyed a lavish meal, our vendor table was neglected, receiving no food at all. When we raised this issue, the staff showed no interest in addressing it. We advise potential clients to reconsider using Luminare, as our experience reflects poorly on their hospitality towards vendors.

Despite being hired to capture the special moments of a wedding reception, we were treated with a shocking level of disrespect.From the moment we arrived, it was clear that hospitality was not a priority for the staff at Luminare. While guests enjoyed tables laden with a variety of delicious foods, our table was entirely neglected. Not even a single piece of bread was provided for us. It's baffling that a venue, which prides itself on hosting elegant events, could overlook the basic courtesy of providing a meal for its working vendors.Our table stood in stark contrast to those around us—empty and barren while others overflowed with appetizers, main courses, and desserts. This glaring disparity wasn't just embarrassing, but also disrespectful to professionals who were working hard to ensure the event was beautifully documented.To add insult to injury, our attempts to address the issue with the staff were met with indifference. It's unacceptable to ignore the needs of those who contribute significantly to the success of the event.If you're considering Luminare for your special occasion, think twice about how they treat their vendors. A venue that cannot extend basic hospitality reflects poorly on the overall experience. We hope future clients and their vendors receive the respect and consideration we were denied.Such treatment not only diminishes the reputation of the venue but also leaves a lasting negative impression on all involved. We had a phenomenal experience with Luminare as our wedding venue.Emily, our event manager was exceptionally attentive & the care and professionalism she exuded was second to none. She had our back and made our experience seamless. Every question asked, she would have a response within seconds. Every phone call was answered right away. All the stress of planning a wedding was taken away and we were able to sit back & enjoy the process. Metropolis is undoubtedly one of the most stunning venues in Melbourne, and it’s hard not to have an unforgettable night here. Weddings these days can cost a fair bit, so be prepared to spend, but in return, you’ll have a celebration that not only you’ll cherish forever, but that will leave your guests talking about it for a long time.My experience with Metropolis started off a little rocky, as they were undergoing a restructure at the time. I was getting different information from various parts of the team, and due to a busy period, responses were a bit slower than expected. However, in the end, they came through and honoured everything they had promised. My only feedback would be around communication and clarity—there were a few instances where we were given conflicting information or told different things by different people.We were fortunate to have Natasha as our Event Coordinator. She was fantastic, handling all our requests and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Despite the stress that comes with coordinating such a big event, Natasha was easy to work with and a pleasure to deal with. We really appreciated her efforts in bringing everything together.But the real standout of the night was the team at Metropolis. They truly made the event seamless, and I can honestly say the night wouldn’t have been the same without their exceptional service. Honestly they pushed my review from 4 stars to 5 stars.Alex, the Beverage Manager, was an absolute legend. He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, and he and his team provided first-class service all night long. They were respectful and attentive to every guest, and their professionalism made a big impression.Tess, the Bridal Attendant, was lovely and made sure that everything the bridal party needed was taken care of. There was a small hiccup on the day, but Tess went above and beyond to make sure it was sorted quickly. From the moment we arrived, she was there for us, providing exceptional service.Lyn , the Venue Manager, also did an outstanding job on the night. She kept everything running smoothly, ensuring that everything went off without a hitch.Overall, Metropolis provided a truly memorable experience, and while there were a few communication bumps early on, the service and attention to detail on the day more than made up for it. The best wedding/events venue in Melbourne! We had the most amazing experience - I couldn't recommend more. The venue is absolutely stunning; the pictures say it all. Hidden Gem!!!Great floor space with amazing views over the city. The balcony is perfect for the indoor/outdoor space everyone is looking for. The large windows add the extra luxe feel. The space would work for just about any type of event.The sales (Ange) & venue team as so easy to work with, great ideas and nothing is a problem even custom food items. We recently hosted end of year Christmas party at Metropolis and the venue was beautiful!The highlight of the venue the large balcony that overlooks the Yarra River and the Melbourne CBD skyline, the view was lovely on the sunny day that our event was on.Thank you to Yvonne and Angela who made the event planning process seamless. Thanks also to the on the day event staff who were very attentive.

Beautiful location, views of the yarra and the city. Large glass windows provide plenty of light. The corporate event attended had almost 400, mostly standing, for 3 and a half hours. Canapes were alright - fried chicken bites, tuna soft tacos, fried sweet potato balls, gnocchi bowls, fish and chips boxes, pizza slices. Waiters were happy to serve and did the rounds well. 4 alcoholic drinks - wine and beer. Non alcoholic drinks - 1 mocktail and soft drinks with lemon lime bitter and ginger ale included. Small outdoor balcony space available. Coat rack and some inbuilt seats near the bar available. Security at entry at the bottom of escalators. Not sure if toilets were available inside.

Attended an event at Metropolis recently and found the venue cosy, bright and spacious due to its high ceilings. Food was pretty good; glazed ‘cherry’ dessert was lovely though the black angus eye fillet was a little dry. Coffee was amazing and staff were friendly.

Careless + Thieves + Disrespectful service.Despite the views and food, the service staff during the wedding were not only unhelpful/unaccommodating, but the wedding event ’planner’ barely helped as I had to do their job with organising tables and setup. They also changed my wedding event ‘planner’ twice when my wedding was coming up. So much staff turnover.Not only that, but when my wedding started, they put the wishing well near the exit/entrance of the door where not only that is unsafe, but the ‘security guard’ they put was also useless as we rarely saw him and he didn’t introduce himself so we never knew who it was until the end because he wasn’t even dressed as a guard. We had to move the wishing well inside so people have proper visibility, something the event ‘planner’ failed at.Even their staff stole my guest’s belongings when the guests were sending the bride and groom goodbye outside. My guests went back inside to collect their things but noticed the staff were already packing up and touching and moving my guest’s belongings. THIS IS HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL. I had to call and argue till they finally investigated through CCTV and realised that half the tables had stuff from the wedding missing from their staff (like name labels, table numbers and bonbonierre gifts and people’s belongings). They gave us a quarter of our table numbers and papers that they ‘found’. The venue even had our wedding cake when I told the planner beforehand to give us our cake after the wedding ends. In the end they gave us the cake a month later and we had to just throw it straight to the bin. Appalling service. Treating paying customers like nothing and just looking at them like moneybags. No heart or soul, or professionalism.

As stunning as its view, as grand as its reputation. It was a modern and classy facility, with well trained staff, very clean, fantastic views from any room and easy to get to. The food was also wonderful and quirky in a good way! I attended for a wedding. It's definetely the perfect location for a dream wedding. The only thing I, and lots of guests commented on, was the fact that there was a ticketed parking lot.

Where has the giant carousel gone...? They're used to be a very large turn table in the middle of the main floor, but it seems to have disappeared...But this is still one of my favourite venues to shoot wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions. I see that the brides and grooms love the experience. Especially the views :)

After unfortunately leaving it too late & missing out on the 1 bedroom suite, we were still able to book an Executive River room, with club access.The Langham doesnt disappoint in any way.All staff encountered were friendly & efficient, the whole property is amazingly pristine & that doesnt happen by chance. They clearly have a great training program in place.The buffet breakfasts are full of choice & cooking stations for eggs & omelettes( which I have to say are perfect) The fresh fruits are top quality & an extra latte is not a problem.The afternoon tea & pre dinner drinks in the Club lounge are a nice touch, but dont indulge too heavily if the buffet dinner is on your menu!Theres a vast array of choice & youre not rushed in any way to vacate, we had a most relaxed evening & it was a great way to celebrate a special occasion.Although there was nothing at all wrong with our room, I will be sure to book earlier next time & try the 1bedroom suite!

Great location, right in Southbank. Easy access to the city centre, Botanic Garden, NGV, theatre's, The Lume. All within walking distance. The staff are very efficient and friendly. The rooms are older looking in decor but clean and welcoming. The heating and cooling is a little difficult to get right. Can't cook the room down enough for sleeping, but it was comfortable. River views are great. Breakfast at the Langham is a must add to your stay. Beautiful food, set up to enjoy again and again. Had a great stay with my Mum. Thank you

Loved the food at Buffet. The Naan bread and Indian cuisine was outstanding. Food was so delicious and Chef Mr. Bhatt cooked the food so good. He is a Very passionate guy about his food and a down to earth person. I will definitely be coming back for more. Sushi station was really good setup. The langham was wonderful. The food was fresh and delicious. The seafood was delectable. Loved the different cuisines they had to offer. The staff offered A1 service, they make you feel at home. I love it all the times I have been. Only one thing I could say is the price. It has considerably gone up in price making an outing more far apart than old times. I understand inflation and cost of living but I think pricing is a tad bit too much. Apart from the price it's a 10 out of 10.

Loved staying here the bed was so comfy, view was great. We had a standard king room. Buffet breakfast was delicious so many choices, we went at 8am so we didnt have to wait.Only issue I had was the power points are on floor level in the skirting boards and if you have a plug that points down it will not fit in, same goes for the power point where the coffee pod machine is wont fit there either, only place i could plug in was in the bathroom. Service was good and friendly staff check in and out was very easy.

We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. From the room service to the breakfast, we can't fault anything. Our room was spacious and clean with beautiful views. With a few choices to dine in house, you won't be disappointed. The buffet in The Melba is amazing, with so many choices, you won't leave hungry. Definitely recommend for comfort and convenience as it's situated along Southbank with plenty of bars and restaurants literally around the corner

They did a fabulous job for an event I attended. They were so attentive with food and beverages. The staff really did a fabulous job. I understand the food is down to the event organiser, so I will not comment on the food, but the staff made sure we had plenty, and they were consistently filling up our glass. Showtime events did a wonderful job overall, well done!

Thinking they're the new kids on the block event producers and services, Showtime are very difficult to deal with. Having snapped up lucrative venues in Melbourne I'm giving unashamedly one ⭐️. You'll be be very disappointed with their communication, attitude and eventually complete no care attitude. If you want one of their venues expect everything I've outlined. Savannah , alongside her co producers ( fluff and puff) are pieces of work. Don't get stitched up. Look elsewhere for venues .

We recently hosted our wedding at State Library Victoria, produced by Showtime, and were initially impressed by the venue and Yas' attentive service. However, several significant issues arose that marred our guests' experience.One of the most disappointing aspects was the unexpected substitution of eggplant for lobster in the 8-course banquet served to our pregnant guests. Despite paying the full price, we believe this was unfair and a significant disappointment. Following up after the wedding, we were informed that the substitution was due to dietary concerns and that the option of lobster would have been provided if requested. While we understand the need for dietary accommodations, the lack of clear communication and proactive measures to ensure guest satisfaction were disappointing.Additionally, there were communication lapses regarding late-arriving guests and the wishing well setup. Some guests were not served due to an unfamiliar crossed-cutlery policy, and the wishing well table and decorations were not ready until just before guests arrived, despite being discussed weeks in advance.Furthermore, some of our guests reported that certain waiters and waitresses seemed undertrained. For example, they were asked to pay for alcoholic beverages, even though we had pre-paid for all drinks. This created unnecessary confusion and embarrassment.While the venue and Yas' service were commendable, the communication issues and service shortcomings significantly impacted our wedding day. We would recommend Showtime with reservations, especially considering the premium price point. Future couples should conduct thorough research and due diligence before booking with Showtime.

Have been here a few times now for work functions and enjoy my experience each time. Great to have the undercover outdoor area to catch up and certainly capture some moments out on the edge of the Yarra River as well with the beautiful Melbourne skyline backdrop.Staff consistently generally aren't engaging or positive which can take the gloss off a little.

Been to weddings here twice, during the night the place looks spectacular but during the day you can see the ceiling fittings coming through with the daylight and it looks like a backyard shed, if the premises was fully blacked out from the sun it would create a nicer ambience, it doesn't quite have that same allure as when it is set up for night functions. Catering was great though, better than most reception centers.

These people are amazing, They saved us and saved our wedding on 3 weeks notice!!!!We found ourselves without a venue after the previous one threatened to cancel our event if we didn't pay them another $6000 outside our contract (Rock Art Events).Alice worked until past 9:30 pm and found us three venues to view the next day. The amount of time and effort they went to was incredible and we will be sending anyone that will listen to them for future events.We cant thank you enough Alice, Charlotte and Showtime!

My husband and I had our wedding here a year ago, the night was magical with a few minor hiccups - coffee and tea weren't served, and some guests found that their meals weren't right but all in all everyone had a great time.The organisation of the team was wonderful, we had the luxury of dealing with Rachel and then moving onto Claire, when she moved on, and there was not much we had to worry about. The venue was amazing and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful day.Thanks team SEG, you guys were a breeze to deal with and thank you for the amazing venue.

Came here for a candlelight concert. Beautiful setting but the service and organisation could have been much much better. Strange that the bar was only serving wine and spirits, but not beers or cider. Ordering drinks was unnecessarily slow as they did not have their EFT machines ready.As for getting here, the best option is probably DFO South Wharf but it doesn’t come cheap. I parked across the highway which was free street parking and walked here, about 10 mins.

Wedding at Crown Aviary. Mostly good. Food fabulous. Sound during the speeches was poor, I had to walk away from my table to stand under a speaker, many people followed my lead, but many people said they couldn't hear the speeches. The DJ and music sound was also very disappointing. No golden oldies were played, but maybe that was the bride and grooms choice.

Great venue! But that's where the compliments stop I'm afraid. For 220 a head the food should have been better than pub grub! The alcohol was not allowed to be served neat, so I had my glass full of ice with a tablespoon of cognac poured over it! It's an insult. Why do I have to have it on the rocks! It ruins the flavour And waters it down! I can't believe someone can drop 40k on a wedding there and we're not even allowed to drink our drinks the way we want! If I had gone to a cheap pub I would have spent $40 on food per head and $100 on alcohol of which I can drink the way I want! This place is a scam! Stay away!

Picking a wedding location is one of the biggest decisions that we had to make when we decided to get married. We wanted something central to the city so that it was easily accessible for our travelling guests. We wanted our ceremony and our reception to be at the same location, and for the ceremony space to have both an open air and undercover option should we have rain on the day.The Crown Aviary ticked all of the boxes for us and some.Set on the roof of the Crown building, our ceremony backdrop was the city of Melbourne.The reception venue was well presented and was spacious for the number of guests that we had.The menu was delicious, and we received multiple compliments throughout the night. There was always a staff member on hand to attend the guests and to guide us throughout the day.We were so impressed with the amazing Wedding & Social Events Manager, Linley, who helped to bring it all together. From discussing our vision for the day, to menu tastings, to coordinating our suppliers and more, she was such an amazing support throughout the coordination of the event, and on the day.

We recently had our wedding at encore and it was magnificent!Leading up to our wedding our wedding co-ordinator Kate was so attentive to all our requests and it was carried out perfectly on the day.The venue was just beautiful on the night, staff had set the tables gorgeously.The food was also amazing and we had comments from many of our guests afterwards.The staff were on point! It's been a year since we had our wedding ceremony and reception at Encore. The team were excellent with communication, recommendations and planning. The food was great, and accommodated dietary requirements. The venue itself is modern, neutral, open and does not need much to dress it up - especially with the sun setting on the sea. The venue has a huge capacity but there's also a divider which fits a smaller guest list - we had ~85 and it was just right. We planned on having our ceremony on the rooftop followed by the reception inside but the weather was not on our side! The team at Encore were efficient in setting up the ceremony and reception in the same space, on the same day. Encore St Kilda is the best option for a beach venue in Melbourne.

Got married last Sunday and it was amazing! Had heaps of compliments on the food served (especially the canapes), and how beautiful the venue was despite it raining and being typical Melbourne weather. Leticia was an amazing event coordinator and even on her days off we got responses from her colleague Niamh. Edward did a great job coordinating the event on the day and everyone had a blast! Great communication and everything was very easy as the team were on the ball. We had plenty of space for dancing, areas where people could chat, and areas for parents where needed. Would love to do it all over again, thanks team!

We are at Cucina for breakfast. Beautiful venue food and price point. Wish they had a few more options for breakfast like a smashed avocado with chorizo maybe. But otherwise was stunning. The outdoor cafe is a great idea but the line was extraordinarily long and wasn't prepared to wait. May want to consider this from a service perspective on how to reduce wait times. No one likes standing in a line!

Cucina 3064 at Marnong Estate in Mickleham is the perfect place for a laid back, casual meal. The atmosphere is great, food is amazing, staff are outstanding and the views of the valley and vineyards are breathtaking. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful place.

I recently visited Marnong Estate and had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the steak bursting with flavor. Pizza made for my liking. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our dining . On top of all this, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service provided. This is a hidden gem in the Northern Suburbs. We went there for wine tasting and we had a fantastic hosting by Alison who had a really good knowledge about not only the wines at Marnong but about wines in general and we learnt a few things. Apart from that we also enjoyed some nice wines with a cheese platter and breathtaking views. Would definitely be a highlight for our visiting friends and family.

Recently had my wedding at Marnong Estate and could not fault it.From the initial planning phase to the actual wedding day, communication was great. No request was too small. Our event manager Natasha was amazing! We also loved the menu tasting.The Bride and Bridesmaids stayed in the cabins the night before and it was perfect. We were able to settle in and enjoy the venue before having everyone come to us the day of the wedding.Ourselves, our families and our guests could not fault the venue!We are still getting compliments on how great the food, wine, service and scenery were.We had our event in the Green Grove followed by the Woolshed.We will also not forget Heidi, who served our bridal table! She did a great job and was a great addition to our day.Everyone was warm, and attentive cant fault the staff.We had the best day and have already come back for more food at Marnong.Thank you for an incredible experience, we love this place!And now its safe to say over 100 of our guests loved it too

Came here for the first time for a Wine Tasting and was highly impressed! We had the 6 Wines Tasting and ordered the $25 cheese board and it was absolutely value for money. What can I say other than AMAZING!!! The food, service, atmosphere and the amazing view. My sister has her wedding on the 9th of March. We had so much fun! We ate every single last bite of the amazing food!The steak had so much flavour it was incredibly delicious. The sword fish was moist and had an amazing taste. My fav dis was the king fish carpaccio.Everything was delicious and fresh!Our server was Kayla ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ an absolute superstar!The service was first class. My sister ordered her cake from brunetti which they forgot to deliver on the day. The beautiful staff member by the name of Kayla bought a cake in just so my sister had a cake to cut. Kayla was so professional, kind and sweet, she made my sisters day complete! I recently attended the private event of Burak and Talya, and I must say I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The venue had a lot of potential, but several aspects of the event fell short of our expectations.As a guest, I didn't receive dessert, which was a major letdown.Furthermore, the drinks were also missing from our service, which is a basic expectation at any event. When we asked the staff for drinks, their rudeness and unhelpful attitude only made the situation more frustrating.The food, when it finally arrived, was another point of concern. Not only did it come out much later than expected, but the portion sizes were incredibly small. Really disappointing.

Avoid this place at all costs!!!Firstly, the customer service provided during the event was notably lacking in politeness and professionalism. Moreover, the issue of drinks not being served to the guests in a timely and efficient manner was a significant inconvenience and issue. Instead of receiving the anticipated service from the staff, my own brother and several guests had to take it upon themselves to serve drinks by repeatedly fetching them from the bar. I was charged $20 per head for soft drinks and had 1 glass the entire night although I asked multiple times to staff for more.We had desserts included in our package. Around 1/3 of our guests missed out on the desserts. I don’t understand how this is possible when I paid for 66 guests and we had exactly 65 guests turn up. I had multiple complaints that night from guests asking why there were no desserts for them.Additionally, communication with the venue is problematic. When we attempted to address issues and express our concerns, it appeared that our feedback was met with indifference, leaving us feeling unheard and undervalued as customers.The most significant breach of our agreement pertained to the seating arrangements. We had explicitly requested 66 white Tiffany chairs for our event, but upon arrival, we discovered that all the chairs provided were black, deviating from our contractual agreement.Furthermore, we would like to bring to your attention that we were asked to remove a previous review posted by my partner, which detailed the issues we encountered during the event. I very much assume this will be the case for this review too.

My wife and I were celebrating our first anniversary with a glass of wine and a nice lunch. We were really excited to enjoy the lovely estate and then sit down for a bite. The booking process requested for a credit card number up front... okay, fair enough. We were 5 minutes early to our booking but were asked to come back when the "table was ready". Later, when being seated, we were put right next to a thoroughfare with an automatic door that kept opening every few seconds. Looking around, we noticed (and I counted) 10 other empty tables for two. I asked the waiter if we could be moved to a more suitable location, and they claimed that "they were full"... okay, fair enough. The meal was delicious, the wine was really nice, the automatic door was extremely annoying and the other tables... still empty. I can not fault the food but at least be accommodating to guests next time please.

Unfortunately the quality of food at a high price point, way off the mark and really disappointing. Has major appeal and potential, however the food needs to meet a desired standard. My husband and I had our wedding reception here recently and all in all it was a great experience. We both found wedding planning highly stressful, but the team at Vogue were helpful in working us through all the small details. We worked specifically with Trish, Alex and Chloe, who were all wonderful - Trish in particular was a huge help in responding to my many queries and accommodating our shifting needs. The wait staff were all great also!There were lots of sweet little touches from the team that both made our day easier and more special. I genuinely felt that our wedding was in good hands and that helped enormously with keeping my stress levels in check!In terms of the venue itself, many of our guests commented on how lovely the venue was, how much they enjoyed the food and generally that they enjoyed the evening. Vogue Ballroom could provide everything we wanted and so much more for a very affordable cost. No hidden fees or charges and no secrets.The team were always on call whenever we had questions and would respond to calls, texts and emails quickly making what could have been the most stressful experience ever one that was easy, smooth and calm.As the day of the wedding got closer they took over communication with vendors and ensured that the whole day and night happened perfectly and had everything we dreamed.Upon arrival to the reception we were excitedly met with two of our amazing team members, Chloe and Alex, whom literally waited on us hand and foot, got anything we needed and jumped in with any requests. When we told a few people we were having chicken on the menu there was a pause and someone said it was risky...and they were all stunned the chicken turned out so juicy! Amazing venue! Everything was so organised and seamless from start to finish. Ashley was an amazing event coordinator and was so easy to communicate with. She was so helpful and made it really easy for us to stay on track. Our event host Stella was also very lovely! Unfortunately I was sick on our wedding day but the team was super accomodating and even made me a couple of saltwater gargles 😂. We had our wedding ceremony and reception here in the Garden Room.Melanie from Sales was amazing from the get-go, providing us all the information we needed to know before securing in our day and giving us a tour of the venue. Kendall and Zoe also communicated well with any questions we had and planning in the lead up. Jen our venue coordinator on the night went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly! We really did feel at ease with this incredible team. We didn't know this until we looked back at photos, but they even handed out bottles of water to our guests as it was a warm 30 degrees day! On Saturday 30/09 we passed with our dog on leash and someone asked us to not to pass public access path that leads to an underpass to the dog park as the young man notes the groom does not like dogs or allergic to dogs, whoever is this person that is able to dictate the terms of a public pathway. If it's a staff, they need more training. If they're guests, they should not be given the idea that they can redirect traffic because your guest don't like it.

Had my wedding here a little over a year ago and had the BEST experience. Not only were we supported at every stage during the lead up, but it’s very clear that every person involved really cares about the people who comes through their doors. From the moment we reached out to book a venue tour, through to when the big day was done, we were impressed at every step. This is clearly a business that has high standards, quality food (YUM!!), great service and is full of really genuine people. Plus the venue of course stunning. Absolutely recommend!! ♥️

Beautiful and modern function rooms overlooking the Yarra River.Service from staff was impeccable.Attended a wedding here, and found the venue stunning and bar well stocked with a wide variety of spirits.The food, on the other hand, was very ordinary and i felt very rushed. People on the table that had the chicken all complained how dry it was.I am sure you guys charge over $200 per person that meal was not worth even $20.Would i recommend it. I personally would not book a wedding there if the food is the same.

Fantastic venue that I would 100% recommend for any wedding. The venue is so beautifully set up that it really doesn’t require any additional decorations. Coordinated nearly every aspect of the event for us so that we didn’t have to, from the vendors to the setting up, to dealing with presents and left over belongings after. Everybody loved the food as well as how well dietary requirements were catered for. On the actual night service was simply immaculate and seamless. When it was all over we received beautifully packed leftovers and a thoughtful gift. For a stress-free wedding I would definitively recommend Leonda.

I organised a pre-booking view for the garden area behind the main reception on the phone with Lisa. She wouldn’t tell me any prices over the phone insisting I had to see it in person first. I asked whether they required a minimum spend, she said no they don’t. When I went to view it, the manager was there setting up and acted as if I was interrupting him, like he was in a rush, and I did not feel welcomed at all. He was very cocky ordering me to have a look and then go to reception. Very unfriendly, no social skills and told me they require a $12,000 minimum spend for 50 people for a banquet. This quote wasn’t even for a 3 course meal and not even in the main reception. I think it’s totally overpriced for Sunshine industrial area. The Langham in Southbank that’s 10 times better is a lot cheaper than this!

Plenty of parking on site. The venue is beautiful inside. However, we found the table is quite more for a 10 people. Some of the doors in both male and female bathroom aren't able to close which is very inconvenient. Hopefully the management will review on this and get this fixed ASAP.

Recently, I had a wedding at Sheldon Receptions. Everything was first class. It was the one function that all of the people who attended, had nothing but good things to say. The food was extremely tasty, plus the bar and wait staff were very efficient. Special mention must go the manager for the function, he was very professional, warm and ran a tight ship. Quat Quatta was the venue of our dreams, it was the first venue we visited and immediately we knew it was the one, we actually cancelled our other venue inspections afterwards and locked them in as soon as we can! I first seen ballara well over 6 years ago and fell in love. The grounds are absolutely perfect. After a rocky start of being late, Loretta ensured everything would be ok and walked us through everything. My husband and I just wanted to seal the deal after already raising a family. I wouldn’t do it anywhere else. The guests have raved about the food and how beautiful the chapel was. But weddings aren’t done in a day and from the very first moment we booked we had so much communication from Ballara and the team. So many e-mails giving us pointers on so many things. Loretta couldn’t have been more attentive in ensuring we had everything we needed. I think my husband only said that the drinks were coming out slow but he and his mates can drink so that wouldn’t be hard. It went so fast I wish I could’ve taken more in and enjoyed how amazing the venue was a little longer. Thank you again.

Wow. I could not have pictured a more perfect day. Loretta, Jan, the chefs, bride attendant, everyone was perfect. The food was incredible, the organisation, the care they take with you, the options. Everything is so carefully thought out and everything was seamless. I still can’t believe how perfect the day was even though I decided to move into the chapel at the last minute. They are prepared for everything and didn’t bat an eyelash. The venue is stunning with hundreds and hundreds of beautiful photography scenarios, close to the city, immaculate gardens, ample parking, everything in one place, beautiful wait staff and food, so many options to customise it to your day exactly, a gorgeous bridal room with a separate toilet which I appreciated so much and they even went out of their way to get me a specific drink! Manor on High was the perfect venue for the 50th birthday I attended. The space is beautiful and elegant, with plenty of room for guests while still feeling warm and inviting. The staff were fantastic—super attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was excellent, with plenty of tasty options for everyone. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d highly recommend it for any special event.

We had our wedding reception at Manor on High in March '24 and it was absolutely incredible. We picked the Georgian Room. The staff throughout our planning were incredibly helpful. Shane & Andrew were both so so great, and the wait staff on the day were lovely. Everything went smoothly. Considering it was a 38 degree day - I can tell you the air conditioning definitely works! Everyone raved about the food afterwards. It was exactly the same high quality as our tasting night - absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day special.

A great wedding venue. Have arranged/ attended dozens of events over a couple of decades and never disappointed Professional, efficient and unpretentious. Doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (actually on second thoughts everything these days costs at least an arm😢.Have two large halls. Can comfortably cater for 375 guests, can squeeze in another 100+ if you have no need for the large central dance floor. Have well appointed bridal rooms with private facilities. Very accommodating of special needs (like a prayer room).Nice kitchen. Food is quite reasonable if you get them to cater (that’s what I’d recommend, they also do allow outside caterers if you prefer. My suggestion go with their menu, if you want to add a personal touch order in a special desert or an entree or even a side. They are happy to serve that). One of their better kept secrets is the coffee room at the back. They are happy to brew you a cappuccino or a latte or an expresso any time of the evening. In these days of multitasking not everyone is a great barista, but apart from the coffee connoisseur most people won’t know the difference. Once the secret is out the coffee room gets mobbed! Got to know some of the names and some of the faces of the staff over the years. (Andrew you did a great job last night under pressure, whipping up those cappuccinos!). Bruno looks a bit menacing, but he’s a great soul and happy to sort out any last minute special needs (I suppose you need to look a bit stern, if have to get the floor service moving like clockwork!). Thanks again for another well run event.
