Windmill Gardens Reception as a Melbourne Wedding Venue
Set in the Melbourne west, the Windmill Gardens is a picturesque destination wedding venue with endless wedding photography opportunities. Nestled on 12 acres of landscaped gardens as well as lakes and chapel, but what makes the Windmill Gardens famous is definitely its iconic windmill which you will see when you are still few kilometres away from the venue.
Walking into this Melbourne wedding venue, you will soon fall in love with the elegant surroundings and stunning features that the Windmill Gardens offers. With an elegant chapel available to be used for wedding ceremony, couple can pretty much stay at this place for the entire day and not worrying about travelling around.
Lastly, as a Melbourne wedding photographer who has been to this amazing wedding venue for quite a few times now, I love capturing weddings at the Windmill Gardens for its endless wedding photography opportunities. The elegant chapel, the bridge and the tranquil lake, the gigantic windmill together with an interesting gazebo, there are so many features that the windmill gardens offer for couples to get stunning wedding photography done directly onsite.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the lovely couple earlier this year and it was great knowing the couple fell in love with our style of wedding photography at the very beginning. With many years of experience from capturing Melbourne city weddings, without too much words, we quickly managed to stand on the same page of the style we after.
The morning getting ready: our Melbourne city photographer started his day by capturing our bride and groom Steve and Elif’s morning getting ready wedding photos. Together with their fun bridal party and parents, we captured lots of laugher and good moments before the bridal party were ready to head off to the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony: the couple held their wedding ceremony at the Taxodium Lawn inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, which faces towards the tranquil lake. During the wedding ceremony, we captured some really emotional moments when the couple made vow to each other, as well as their first kiss as husband and wife.
The wedding photo location: when getting married at the Royal Botanic Gardens, apart from having a stunning ceremony location, couples also get to do stunning wedding photography inside this beautiful park. we did plenty photos with the bridal party as well as some shots for just the bride and the groom.
