The Terrace as a Melbourne Wedding Venue
Tucked the picturesque Royal Botanic Gardens. nestled by the ornamental lake, the Terrace is a beautiful wedding venue that overlooks lush gardens and peaceful lake. With plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto an outdoor terrace, the Terrace boasts a perfect blend of elegant and contemporary vibe.
As a Melbourne wedding photographer who has become an almost regular guest at the Terrace, what I love about weddings at the Royal Botanic Gardens is the stress-free experience as well as excellent wedding photography opportunities. As an all-in-one Melbourne wedding location, the Royal Botanic Gardens offers multiple ceremony locations such as the Tennyson Lawn as well as the Taxodium Lawn, as well as several wedding venues including the Garden House as well as the Terrace. Each location represents a unique vibe and offers different backdrop for your wedding.
The Terrace represents one of the wedding venues inside the Royal Botanic Gardens that offers large seating capacity, with a maximum capacity of 300 guests for standing or 160 guests for a sit-down affair.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the lovely couple earlier this year and it was great knowing the couple fell in love with our style of wedding photography at the very beginning. With many years of experience from capturing weddings at the Royal Botanic Gardens, without too much words, we quickly managed to stand on the same page of the style we after.
The morning getting ready: our Melbourne wedding photographer started his day at our bride Cat’s getting ready location. After getting all the photos for her accessories, then our wedding photographer captured the process of the bridesmaid helping our bride jumping her wedding gown.
The wedding photo location: in order to stay with their guests later after ceremony, the couple opted to do wedding photo locations before the ceremony. we firstly started off with a first-look photos of Cat and Reece seeing each other in wedding dress for the first time. Then we headed for some candid and casual photos along the laneway near the Hotel Windsor and lastly, we captured photos at the Old Treasury Building.
The wedding ceremony: the couple said ‘I do’ in front of their family and friends on the Tuxodium Lawn inside the Royal Botanic Gardens. during the wedding ceremony, our Melbourne wedding photographer captured plenty of genuine and authentic moments including the couple reading vows to each other as well as their long-awaited first kiss.
