The Dookie Quarry as a Shepparton wedding ceremony venue
Located in the Shepparton region, the Dookie Quarry was once an abandoned slope but now, it is one of the most sought-after rustic wedding locations. Set next to the Dookie Recreation Reserve, the couple may find a secret alley way leading towards the stunning cliff.
As a Shepparton wedding photographer, I love capturing weddings at the Dookie Quarry as it simply provides a rustic and unique vibe. Sitting in the centre of the location, you may think you are actually in the American west. With the sun shining on the cliff, it then reflects a stunning orange tone on the photos.
OUR STORY WITH THE COUPLE:
We met with the lovely couple earlier this year when they started to look for a reliable and affordable Ballarat wedding photographer. Without too many words, we quickly discovered what the couples were after for their wedding photography and stood on the same page.
The morning getting ready: our Shepparton wedding photographer started their day by capturing the bride and groom’s morning getting ready. Accompanied by their fun and energetic bridal party, we captured lots of laughter and genuine moments such as the groom giving gifts to his parents as well as bride’s mum putting her veil on for her.
The wedding ceremony: the wedding ceremony of Melissa and Justin was set in front of the magnificent cliff at Dookie Quarry. Arriving in muscle cars, we captured the candid moments of Melissa’s dad helping her getting off the car as well as the emotional moments of the bride walking down the aisle. During the wedding ceremony, our Shepparton wedding photographer captured lots of photos including the bride and groom’s long waiting first kiss.
The wedding reception: Melissa and Justin’s wedding celebration was held at their parent’s private property in Shepparton. During the night, our Shepparton wedding photographer captured lots of fun and party shots of the couple with their guests. Not only that, due to the perfect weather, we also captured plenty of beautiful sunset shots of the couple.
