Siobhan: We recently hosted a wonderful wedding (ceremony + reception) at The George Ballroom. The space itself is stunning and our guests were full of praise for its heritage beauty and the generous food servings on the night. Our event manager Victoria was incredibly supportive, responsive, and efficient throughout the planning process, and the event staff were also very professional and helpful. The interior of this unique Melbourne wedding venue is perfect for getting stunning Melbourne wedding photography done. We would definitely highly recommend The George for weddings and other celebrations alike.

 

Tammy: From the moment we stepped foot into The George Ballroom, we knew it was the wedding venue for us.  Simply stunning.  But to go with the beautiful venue, is the delicious food, and great service of all the staff.  Our event co-ordinator, Ashleigh, was fabulous, we felt completely at ease knowing everything was taken care of for us.  Nothing was too much trouble.  A truly memorable day for both my husband and I, and all of our guests.  Highly recommend to anyone considering this venue for their event.

 

Eddie: Look no further! No other venue like The George Ballroom in Melbourne! Absolutely amazing space for a wedding. Aside from the space, Damm Fine Food provided a wonderful service during our ceremony and wedding at The George Ballroom. They were very helpful and accommodating and the food was excellent as well. We also captured lots of nice wedding photos around the venue.

 

Mark: We had our wedding here at The George Ballroom in May 2022. Fabulous venue and Damn Fine Food were awesome at delivering professional service (thanks Victoria) and great food/wine. The venue is stunning and the photos come up brilliantly. Good to use a photographer that knows the venue Like Anchor & Hope and a Dj like teepee (Todd Petersen). Nat Sproal awesome celebrant.

Only small criticism of venue is the lighting – there is nothing to really highlight/spotlight the dance floor (one end of the room) or altar (other end of the room) or any other area for speeches/cake cutting. The room worked perfectly for our 60 guests. Highly recommend.
