What can I say. I looked at a lot of hotels in the area and originally had a different one booked, then came across this one. I was not disappointed. This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast alone was fantastic, I have never seen such a selection. The executive lounge was also fantastic. Canopes there were lovely and they even had a good selection of wines.
The spa is excellent, with pool, hot tub, sauna etc. Great after a day exploring the city. Its also ideally located for the city with the Skydeck and parks in front and a path across to the station and city centre across the river behind. The views over the city from the room were also some of the best you could get.
The prices were also very good value for money. I would definitely recommend staying here if you go to Melbourne.
We ordered English Breakfast Tea. The tea came luke warm. When we asked for it to be reheated.. it came back the same. Good tea is served with hot water. Langham has a beautiful ambience and the Christmas decorations are just perfect.
Beautiful hotel, excellent service, the staff where friendly, welcoming and efficient. The location is perfect for exploring Melbourne and is easy walking distance to the city and public transport. Our room was lovely and our 3 night stay was a delight, definitely the place for a perfect getaway.
Location and service are good, however…
If you are sensitive to smell, particularly artificial perfumes, avoid this hotel. The lobby is sprayed with their signature scent. This is manageable if you don’t spend any time in the public areas. Unfortunately, the rooms smell like they have been sprayed with Ecolab room freshener/deodoriser. This has an artificial scent that is particularly offensive to those sensitive to artificial fragrance.
