Rena & Jayden Wedding Photography at Fondata 1872
I felt incredibly fortunate to be Rena and Jayden’s Melbourne wedding photographer, capturing their beautiful wedding at Fondata 1872 on 14 November 2025. From our very first meeting, I sensed their strong, bubbly personalities. It’s rare to see a couple who matches so perfectly—sharing the same outlook on life, similar interests, and an effortless connection. From the beginning, I knew a documentary wedding photography approach would be the most honest way to tell their story.
On the wedding day, I followed my instincts—offering minimal direction and focusing instead on observation—allowing emotions to unfold naturally and capturing the day in a smooth, unscripted way.
The morning began with preparations. Rena and Jayden are incredibly organised; everything from shoes, ties, rings, and invitations was thoughtfully arranged in one room. I started with Jayden, following a classic timeline. His cream-toned suit, perfectly suited to the historic character of Fondata 1872, was hung on an iron candle stand, blending beautifully with the venue’s rustic elegance. I framed his suit together with his accessories, setting the tone for the day.
As Jayden and his groomsmen got dressed, the atmosphere was relaxed and joyful—perhaps helped by a small taste of whisky earlier in the morning. Jayden looked exceptionally sharp, fresh from a haircut, with a confidence that could rival a Hugo Boss model. It was a great reminder of how much a well-fitted suit and a good haircut matter on a wedding day.
After completing Jayden’s getting-ready photos, I headed to Rena’s home. Her magnificent wedding dress was displayed on a mannequin, allowing me to capture its intricate details. Before she stepped into her gown, I documented a candid moment as Rena popped champagne with her bridesmaids—shaking the bottle in excitement as the liquid spilled dramatically, creating beautiful shapes in mid-air. It was a joyful, energetic moment I loved capturing.
Once Rena was dressed, I photographed her portraits by the window. She held her Prada perfume—its clear glass and inverted triangle design echoing her own elegance. Soft curtains diffused the natural light, creating a romantic, gentle glow. These images felt timeless—editorial, refined, and worthy of a fashion magazine feature.
At Fondata 1872, the ceremony space was already alive with anticipation. Jayden arrived early, warmly greeting guests beneath the venue’s historic architecture and open countryside surroundings. A talented violinist played Bach’s “Air on the G String”, filling the space with calm, sacred beauty—perfectly complementing Fondata 1872’s serene, pastoral atmosphere. Everything flowed seamlessly. As the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to live music, Rena arrived on time, making her entrance with her parents. From the corner of my eye, I caught Jayden’s emotional reaction as he saw her—an authentic, unfiltered moment I knew would be deeply meaningful to them both.
They exchanged vows and rings in front of their loved ones, sealed their promises with a kiss, and walked back down the aisle to applause. Family and group photos followed, framed by Fondata 1872’s expansive lawns, heritage buildings, and warm natural light.
The bridal party session was relaxed and joyful. The weather was perfect—warm but comfortable—and the sunlight brought clarity and depth to the surrounding landscape. Laughter echoed as the bridal party walked arm in arm, chatting freely among blooming gardens and open fields.
Afterward, I focused on Rena and Jayden alone. We created natural, effortless portraits—hand-holding, gentle kisses, moments beneath Rena’s veil. At one point, they suggested running together. “Why not?” I said. They laughed, chased each other, and created playful, romantic images full of life—unexpected and unforgettable.
During the reception, with sunset arriving later in the evening, I noticed they still had wonderful energy. I invited them outside for sunset portraits. The sky softened into warm, reddish tones, perfectly complementing Fondata 1872’s wooden textures and rural charm. Rena sat comfortably on a wooden chair as Jayden told her a story. I couldn’t hear every word, but her laughter said everything. I photographed quietly, without interruption, letting the moment remain theirs.
The evening concluded with cake cutting, laughter, and celebration—an honest reflection of who Rena and Jayden are as a couple.
Their wedding at Fondata 1872 was timeless, emotional, and full of life—exactly the kind of story I love to document.
