Lucy Wignell
My now husband and I got married on Thursday 7th March. From the very beginning, we worked with William, and on the wedding day we had Bruce as our photographer. Both were incredibly friendly and helpful, and Bruce especially knew how to crack a joke—something our entire wedding party and guests absolutely loved.
We highly recommend Tree Photo & Video to anyone looking for a photographer and/or videographer. Truly the best service you could ask for.

The University of Queensland
Wedding Photographer | Senior Photographer & Trainer
Bruce mentors and trains emerging wedding photographers, including Nick and James.
As one of the earliest wedding photographers to embrace digital photography over traditional film, Bruce has experienced three major evolutions in the industry:
While technology has changed, his core philosophy has never shifted:
Put the couple first.
Bruce believes a smooth, joyful wedding day leads to the best photographs. He always emphasizes that the couple’s happiness is his top priority, because when couples truly enjoy their day, they naturally look their best in front of the camera.
Despite his extensive experience, Bruce remains eager to learn and embrace new ideas. He highly praises Nick’s Neo-Romantic wedding photography style and James’s documentary approach, showing his openness and respect for creative growth.
Bruce earns respect not because of seniority alone, but because of his humility, passion, and lifelong dedication to wedding photography.
Film
Having studied Film and Television, Bruce once dreamed of becoming a film director. Although he ultimately chose a different path, he found a deeper fulfillment through wedding photography. As he sees it, films aim to please mass audiences, while wedding photography is about touching the hearts of two people. In this way, he believes he achieved his filmmaking dream—through weddings—and is rewarded by the appreciation of couples.
Fishing & Family
Bruce loves fishing with his daughter, whom he adores deeply. He often says, “One day, I want to photograph her wedding,” even though she is still in primary school.
Seth
As one of Tree Studio’s early wedding videographers, Seth has worked closely with Bruce for over a decade, forming a strong and lasting professional partnership.
Nick
Nick began learning the fundamentals of wedding photography and professional etiquette under Bruce’s guidance. Today, they are both mentor and friend
