The Post Office Hotel Reviews

Amazing experience. I had an 30th Birthday event with a booked out private room. Everything was absolutely amazing. The Events Coordinator Wesley organised everything perfectly. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The food was incredible, every dish was perfect, definitely the peak of the night. Would recommend this to anyone. Thank you so much.
Jen and the Events team at the Post Office hotel did an amazing job on our wedding! They made organising the wedding absolutely effortless, and the day ran perfectly thanks to the dedicated hardworking team that Jen has. It is such a beautiful venue to hold your event, the deck looked amazing for our ceremony and the dining hall was the most beautiful place to hold our reception. Jen accommodated all of our requests and did so much work to set up the venue. Everything was taken care of by Jen and the team and we had absolutely nothing to worry about on the day, we knew that it was all being taken care of for us. The food was AMAZING!!!! our guests couldn't stop talking about the pork belly and the cheese station. Looking back on the event, the sign of a good venue and events team is that all the proceedings of the night where seamless and the night ran perfectly, while we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding. We and our guests all had the most amazing time, we could not have asked for anything more. Photo @Lizbarnesphoto
Used to go here a bunch years ago & recently attended an event here which was fun & made me want to return for a drink & meal for old times sake but unfortunately the vibe here has changed dramatically since it used to be my local years back before it changed hands .. not nearly as relaxed as it once was, it seems like the new owners are trying to make it something it’s not which is super unfortunate. The staff who served me were super lovely and attentive, but at one point the manager (possibly owner?) was quite condescending and rude to their staff just within earshot of me which was super off-putting. The food was good (expensive but good) & like I said the service I received was great, it’s just lost a lot of character & isn’t as cozy as it once was for an after work drink. Probably would be fine for a date night meal or something but I think if I still lived in the area i would have had to find a new charming local spot 🙁 Weird vibes overall
I was served peas and gravy with my fish and chips. What an appalling culinary crime. So not impressed. Try harder.
Had a great night however the shared bathroom setup was not nice at all. Girls deserve better than this. My girlfriend wanted a place to tidy her makeup and hair and had to share a mirror over a stainless steel basin with strangers. For me a man I felt awkward walking into a urinal with women waiting for a unisex toilet. Lift your game. As a PUBLIC bar you should be serving the public. Andrew.
