Meh. Stayed at Park Hyatt’s in Auckland and Sydney, and this just doesn’t stack up. Room and gym feel outdated. Nice but just not modern. Staff don’t have same level of care as other hotels. Eg we got some stone fruit and champagne for our honeymoon greeting whereas other locations gave us dishes, champagne glasses, etc. (note - am a globalist). Location is on edge of CBD, so it’s a 15 min walk to anything. Accessible but not right in the action. But if coming for the brand name, don’t expect to be “wow” by this park Hyatt. Nothing special and wouldn’t come out of way to stay here again.
Stayed here for three nights for business meeting. Centrally located five star hotel within minutes from tram stations and attractions like Parliament House, Fitzroy gardens (Cooks cottage), treasury garden and Princess theatre. Safe and clean area. Arrived at midnight so no porter service. Great modern decor and clean, luxurious rooms . Got upgraded to a suite with a huge walk in bathroom and spa and wardrobe (walk in). Fresh fruits and personalized welcome letter. TVs x 2. Breakfast limited options as it’s Aussie style. Definitely want to come back. Also next door to st Patrick’s cathedral and a short walk to the free tourist tram station outside the Parliament House.
Rooms are good but overpriced
What a magnificent venue. We came here to spend a night when we went to see the Melbourne Storm at AAMI park. Convenient location near the gorgeous Fitzroy Gardens. Beautiful entry. Excellent friendly staff. Very very clean. And best of all, they are PUPPY FRIENDLY. We bought our Cavoodle, Sally , with us and got to stay in a lovely luxurious room with a little private garden. Thank you to the staff and Hyatt for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back. Cheers
