Unfortunately, this was our first and last stay at The Hotel Windsor. For a property presented as five-star, the experience did not align with expectations, particularly given the cost.The room was noticeably dated, with maintenance issues including loose bathroom fixtures and shower taps. There was no usable window to look out of, and the curtains were clearly old and stained.Breakfast was said to be included; however, after waiting over an hour, my daughter’s simple request for toast with Vegemite never arrived. It should not be unreasonable for a hotel of this standing to provide such a basic item within a reasonable timeframe.The hotel operates with only one extremely slow and outdated lift for the entire building, which added to the overall frustration. By the end of our first night of a planned two-night stay, we chose to check out early. When doing so, the manager asked why — a question that unfortunately reflected the broader shortcomings of the stay.I am still awaiting the partial refund discussed with the duty manager upon checkout, as well as the return of my bond.For the price paid, this experience was deeply disappointing and did not come close to justifying a five-star rating.

Upon arrival we had to wait a good while before checking in as they only had 1 staff member at the front desk. The rooms were adequate, the bathroom was nice but didn't appear too clean. The breakfast was not good, we were mocked by our server after requesting a condiment that they didn't have that is quite common everywhere else. The food was a small portion, it was nothing special especially when you have to wait over 20 minutes just for a coffee and Danish. The overall experience was not bad, the service unfortunately ruined our stay. RR

The only thing going for this hotel is the location. It is definitely not a 5-star hotel, maybe 3 if you’re generous. The hotel is tired, it needs a good reno. Staff are not very friendly and are not very helpful. Three men working the front area watched me drag my two suitcases and no one offered to help/take them to the room. Rooms are very very tired. Shower was dripping, the bathtub needs a good scrub, and curtains had stains on them. Overall would not come back.
