As a Melbourne wedding photographer I always love shooting at Glasshaus Inside. It’s also one of my favourites to recommend to my clients, as it has just so many opportunities to get that perfect shot. With walls decorated in lush plants and foliage, exquisite styling, and plenty of natural sunlight, the hardest part of shooting wedding photos here is knowing where to stand, because there are just so many incredible backdrops to choose from!

For Melbourne wedding photography, it’s always a pleasure to shoot at Glasshaus Inside. The industrial chic meets botanical opulence feel of the venue means that you’ll never be short of backdrops when shooting those must-have wedding day shots.
Wherever you shoot at Glasshaus Inside, you are guaranteed to come away with some stunning shots. However, some of my personal favourite spots to shoot inside the greenery covered stairwells, against the foliage draped walls, and in front of the stunning floor to ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light.

We had a wonderful event with Glasshaus Inside. Paul was particularly accommodating for us. The ambiance was great and the transactions all transparent. Ours was about 80 people - and the space was both intimate but spacious enough for energetic dancing too. Not worrying about decor and having the venue look so botanical is a really unique value proposal of this place that we felt was great. Many guests commented on how aesthetic the venue was too. 5/5.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and were overall happy with this event space and service.Pros:
-Beautiful space full of lush plants and decor.
-It was cold and rainy on the day but they had a fireplace going throughout the event.
-Service and communication on the day was amazing, they helped us set up and were so thoughtful to set aside food for the bride and groom for us to eat later on.
-Food was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meal. We opted for the shared dish buffet style and everyone was satisfied.
-There are 3 toilets available and the staff had reserved one as the wedding party change room which was very thoughtful and helpful.Cons:
-Communication was minimal in the lead up to the wedding. When asked about measurements for the guest signing table it was incorrect and heavily impacted how the table looked on the day as the decor barely fit onto the table.
-We had a mirror welcome sign which was placed on an easel with some broken part and not secured. During the ceremony, it was blown over by the wind somehow. Thankfully the mirror was not broken but it would have been devastating had it happened.
-Signage on the outside of the building is non-existent, so guests had a hard time finding exactly where it was and were unsure if they could come in as the doors were shut.
-Do keep in mind that there is no storage room or other waiting room. As the bridal party arrived early, we had to wait in the small kitchen area. Fortunately the staff was friendly and welcoming but just something to be aware of.

There’s plenty of space for guests to mingle without it ever feeling crowded, and the flow between the ceremony, dinner, and dancing felt seamless. You can tell the team behind Glasshaus have put real thought into how the space functions as well as how it looks. Every corner feels intentional, and every detail adds to the overall experience.The staff were professional, friendly, and on top of everything. Service felt smooth and well organised all night, from the catering to the bar. The atmosphere they helped create was relaxed and joyful, which made the evening even more special.Glasshaus manages to feel both sophisticated and welcoming. It’s lush and full of life, but not overdone — it still keeps that sense of charm and authenticity that makes Richmond such a great area. It’s one of those rare venues that feels truly memorable, and everyone I spoke to on the night was saying the same thing.If you’re looking for a wedding or event venue that feels unique, beautiful, and full of atmosphere, Glasshaus is incredible. Seeing it lit up at night surrounded by all that greenery was unforgettable.
